Job Description:
* Job Type: Full-Time Faculty
JOB SUMMARY:
The Program Director, Cybersecurity and Computer Science reports to the Dean of the School of Management and Technology. This full-time 12-month faculty position entails ensuring the continuous alignment of all Undergraduate and Graduate Cybersecurity courses with evolving industry standards and the accreditation requirements of the NSA Center of Academic Excellence (CAE) Program of Study (POS), specifically focusing on designated NIST/NICE competencies. The Director will teach courses and oversee the programs; including curriculum maintenance and development, scheduling, staffing, advising, assessment and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Working in close collaboration with MassCyber and the CyberTrust MA Consortium, the Director ensures the optimal utilization of resources such as the cyber range, community outreach services, and the Security Operations Center (SOC) at the Center of Cyber Excellence (CCE) located in Union Station, Springfield, MA. Additionally, they will collaborate with counterparts in Cybersecurity and Computer Science at the Commonwealth's community colleges to formulate and execute articulation agreements, facilitating smoother transitions for students into our undergraduate programs. A primary initiative for the incumbent will be to spearhead the MS Cybersecurity Bridge initiative in partnership with community colleges and Bay Path University.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Teach a minimum of eight (8) courses (24 credits) annually, with a (4) course release for administrative responsibilities associated with the directorship of our undergraduate and graduate cybersecurity and computer science programs.
* Ensure that all graduate cyber courses are appropriately aligned with industry expectations and NSA CAE accreditation criteria (i.e., designated NIST/NICE competencies) and the formal recognition of our BS and MS Cybersecurity programs as NSA approved Programs of Study (POS).
* Works collaboratively with the Registrar's Office to create and maintain appropriate GPS schedules for all six week accelerated undergraduate cybersecurity and computer science courses as well as all eight week graduate cybersecurity courses.
* Maintain scheduled office hours online to ensure effective academic and career advising/mentoring, persistence, retention, completion and the support of job placement for our MS, Cybersecurity student.
* Coordinate closely with the Student Success Center and Advising in order to ensure timely updates and communications with our undergraduate cybersecurity students.
* Maintain course schedules in accordance with established curricula and staff all courses with the best available, seasoned cyber instructors.
* Collaborate with the CITL on the development of instructor online, on ground and hybrid teaching skills and the utilization of best practices in curriculum and course design.
* Conduct Annual Program Assessments to ensure continuous improvement and
* Compliance with the NIST/NICE standards that serve as the foundation for our NSA POS accreditation.
* Collaborate with Enrollment Marketing and Admissions to ensure program marketing materials and campaigns (content) are aligned with the evolving needs of the marketplace. Collaboration should include timely responses to requests from Admissions for contact with prospective graduate students (i.e., funnel support). Close collaboration with our Wiley marketing team for our undergraduate cyber program is also essential.
* Maintain close contact and affiliation with small and large companies, non-profits, and government agencies in the region and beyond, working closely with the MassCyber Center, the CyberTrust MA Consortium, our colleagues at Union Station, and the Sullivan Career Services team to ensure responsiveness to the business community and provide internships and timely access' to employment opportunities for our graduates.
* Coordinate the Annual Cyber Security Summit.
* Participate in Cyber Security Academic Advisory Board Meetings.
* Support research grants that advance cyber career development and student success.
* Attend faculty, School, and University meetings.
* Maintain an appropriate presence on campus, including attendance at major University events (Commencement, Academic Convocation) and student events.
* In addition, attend Mass Cyber's Annual Meeting and at least one NSA mandatory meeting each year, as well as quarterly visits to the Center of Cybersecurity Excellence at Union Station.
* Participate in University Committee assignments.
* Stay current with best practices in teaching and learning.
* Incorporate technology to enhance student learning.
* Understand and appreciate the University's mission, purpose and goals and the role of faculty in achieving those goals.
* Demonstrate commitment to a culture of diversity, respect for the individual and inclusion.
* Attend training as required.
* Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by the University.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
If you operate a university owned, leased or personal vehicle at any time while performing your duties you must follow all policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual. You must have a valid driver's license and must successfully pass the online safe Driving Course and driving record check at time of hire and annually thereafter. Additionally, you must report any driving offense, on or off company time, which causes a loss, suspension, or any other change in your license status. You must report this change within one business day of the offense. You can report this change to the Human Resource Department or your direct supervisor. Failure to do so can lead to disciplinary action, up to and including terminations.

Requirements:
* Master's degree required. CSSP, Digital Forensics certification, relevant work experience, and/or Doctorate preferred.
* Teaching experience in Information Assurance and/or Digital Forensics is essential.
* Must possess excellent organizational management and leadership skills
* Must have familiarity with online teaching pedagogy.
* Must have technical skills that facilitate administrative leadership.
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with faculty, students, staff, and administration. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
* Ability to travel to and from university campus and office locations as needed.
