Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Filmmaker & Photographer to join our team full-time. This role requires a versatile professional who excels in both shooting and editing, with the ability to work on a wide range of projects, from social or commercial campaigns to high-end brand photography. You will collaborate closely with the account teams, contributing your expertise to produce compelling visual content that meets the needs of our diverse client base with a focus on organic social and paid media video at the forefront.

Key Responsibilities:

Videography:

• Capture high-quality footage with an emphasis on story, framing, and lighting.
• Operate Canon Cinema Cameras and manage 3-axis stabilization rigs (MoVI Pro).
• Adapt to different shooting styles, including run-and-gun, staged, and storyboarded movements.
• Edit video content using Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro, along with phone apps as needed depending on projects, ensuring alignment with client branding, project goals, and creative vision.
• Organize and manage media files, adhering to company file structure and systems.
• Implement client feedback, refining edits through multiple rounds to deliver polished, impactful videos.

Photography:

• Capture compelling stills that align with the project’s creative direction, whether in a studio setting or on location.
• Utilize DSLR cameras proficiently, with a strong understanding of lighting techniques, composition, and post-processing.
• Deliver high-quality images that meet client specifications and project goals, with a focus on storytelling and visual impact.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of professional experience in video production and photography.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom).
• Strong understanding of marketing principles, effective organic and paid social media content, and short-form video content.
• Ability to work flexibly, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends as needed.
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to travel for on-location shoots when required.

Bonus Skills:

• Director of Photography experience.
• Graphic design, color correction, and sound design capabilities.
• Experience with motion graphics and creative writing.
• Ability to contribute to production design.

Note: This role requires on-site work in Virginia Beach, with occasional travel for projects outside the local area, including out-of-state and international shoots.
