They will also meet the following qualifications and possess these preferred skills: * Bachelor's degree * Valid Teacher License (or interest in a licensure program) * Competency in using technology in the classroom setting * Ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis * Strong desire to work within an innovative, urban educational program WHAT THIS ROLE WILL ACCOMPLISH * Use the state standards and curriculum to create rigorous, objective-driven, arts-infused lessons aligned with curriculum maps. * Differentiate for individual students based on their unique learning needs * Develop standards-aligned, measurable, ambitious big goals that will increase student opportunities for achievement; assess and track performance against these goals. * Implement classroom procedures, systems, and routines that provide structure for students and maximize instructional time. * Use data to reflect on effectiveness of lessons and student achievement progress in order to improve instruction and personal practice. * Present academic content through a variety of instructional strategies to reach all learners; including the use of arts-infusion: songs, visual arts, presentations and drama. * Encourage parent and community involvement, obtain information for parents when requested, conduct home visits, and promptly return phone calls and answer emails. * Ability and willingness to work collaboratively; maintaining cooperative and effective working relationships. * Use feedback from the Principal and CAO to update the Individual Professional Development Plan. * Other duties as assigned by supervisor APPLY NOW!
