UNDERSTANDING Staff Accountant provides a vital service in the organization by ensuring a timely close process as well as the accurate representation the balance sheet, including but not limited to cash, cash deposits, prepaid and insurance balances, and other prepayments or deposits. They will accomplish this by the timely processing of bank and account and of balance sheet reconciliations in our ERP system. The timely and accurate posting and representation of our cash accounts is critical to the ongoing success of the company in order to accurately represent the amount available to vendors, service providers, and others. RESPONSIBILITIES * Prepare and review financial statements for accuracy * Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and bank reconciliations. * Prepare documents for external auditors and assist during audit process * Maintain fixed asset schedule * Other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS * Must be able to speak, read and write in English. * Ability to work independently and willing to take on responsibilities and challenges * Proficiency in accounting software/ERP EDUCATION * High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree or higher in Accounting a plus
