What you'll do Integrated Solutions (IS) is looking for a Solutions Engineer to apply their technical knowledge to design systems or services that meet customer needs, working closely with sales, test, product and software developers throughput the process. As an IS Solutions Engineer, you will epitomize information technology excellence across a broad technology portfolio that spans current and emerging satellite communications, telecommunications, advanced networking and security and multi-cloud architectures. You will analyze customer problems quickly and assess the best technical options available to meet their objectives; you will perform product demonstrations; and provide direct support to current programs to ensure the customer's success. The day-to-day Overall responsibility for solutions development and designing systems or services that meet customer needs Offer solutions to customers and engage with team members from different departments, addressing any technical queries. Assist sales teams with technical expertise and mentorship during the sales process Test the performance of proposed products and services before and after installation to ensure best fit and proper performance Collaborate with product teams to provide feedback and suggest improvements based on customer needs Assist with product demonstrations and proof-of-concept implementations Provide program support to ensure successful deployment and maintenance of solutions Assist the Solution Architect in defining features, development phases, and solution requirements Inform specifications for which the solution is defined, managed, and delivered Display a proactive and adaptable devotion to projects Lead the performance measurement and improvement of our customer's experience on the Viasat Government Segment Serve as a key interface to the customer(s) representing the technical solution and Viasat as a whole Collaborate with team members across the organization to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives Represent the company at industry events and conferences, building relationships and staying abreast of current technologies. Apply a collaborative/consultative working and leadership style, relying on common sense and personal competence for persuasion and consensus building What you'll need Minimum 8 years of experience across satellite communications, telecommunications, advanced networking end-to-end solutions implementation, with a strong background of success in participating in technical projects Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure Experience demonstrating solutions and interacting with the customer to deliver of solutions throughout execution Knowledgeable with multivendor IT infrastructure and advanced networking solutions Proven ability to lead development of technical solutions Experience working with program, project, and product managers Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience US Citizenship Active SECRET Clearance Eligible for US DoD Top Secret Clearance Ability to travel up to 10% What will help you on the job CCNP and able to achieve Security + and Cloud + Certification Salary range $122,500.00 - $174,000.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $151,500.00- $205,500.00/ annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience.
