Epsilon C5I Inc. (www.epsilonsystems.com/c5i), focused on software development and systems engineering for complex command, control, intelligence and combat systems, is seeking a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer I, with at least 6 years' experience in Software Quality Assurance for DoD Programs, for work in San Diego, CA. Summary: The Senior Software QA Engineer I will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through driving adherence to documented policy and quality assurance practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Software Developers, Product Managers, and Systems Engineers, to audit all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, guaranteeing they are effectively executed and documented. Duties and Responsibilities * Maintain detailed knowledge of program requirements and prepare responsive quality plans, procedures, schedules and resource allocations to assure optimum quality support * Review engineering/test documentation and provide input to assure that appropriate quality requirements are addressed * Ensure adherence to formalized quality system processes, procedures and work instructions * Participate in and lead efforts to gather, organize, monitor, analyze and report on test processes and procedures * Provide ongoing quality system support to include performing internal audits, ensuring implementation of root cause corrective actions * Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure that testing is aligned with project goals. * Report on test execution status, key quality metrics, and defect metrics to ensure transparency and progress tracking. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Quality Assurance or related field, or equivalent work experience in a Quality Assurance Capacity. * Six or more (6+) years' experience in a Quality Assurance or Process Improvement. * Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret security clearance With SCI Access. * Knowledge of requirements tools such as MySQL or DOORS. * Ability to conduct unbiased assessments of specific processes, products, and procedures * Ability to recognize critical areas for improvement and suggest alternative enhancements * Experience with objectively evaluating Quality Assurance policies and procedures * Experience with best practices, metrics, reports, lessons learned, and process improvements * Experience with monitoring and resolving non-compliant issues and process changes through delegation and tracking Preferred Qualifications: * Experience working within SDLC QA - supporting full life cycle Application Development Teams. * Experience supporting Navy/SSEE systems. * Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# for automation scripting. * Experience with Atlassian Confluence and Jira applications * Knowledge of Quality Assurance activities and best practices * Possession of excellent creativity, problem-solving, analytical, and logical reporting skills * Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills * Quality Assurance Auditor (CQA) Certification. Pay Range: The pay range for this role is $135,000 To $165,000 Annually. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. ADA Notations: * Regular communication (hearing/speaking). * Noise conditions range from very quiet to very noisy. * Prolonged use of computer (typing/keyboarding). * Frequently required to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk, and may occasionally lift and move at least 25 pounds. * Ability to travel by car, air, or other means of transportation, if required.
