Job Summary: The role of Superintendent is to oversee, coordinate and manage all onsite construction activities, including safety, logistics, schedule, day to day trade activities, document management, meetings, compliance, completion and turnover. As well the Superintendent shall assist the Project Manager in the construction activities. Superintendent is to have a commanding knowledge of the site and its progress in all areas and with all Subs/Suppliers which are assigned to the project. Key Responsibilities: * Collaborate with the Project Manager to create, update, and manage project schedules. * Develop a Master Project Schedule with a clear understanding of construction activities and sequencing. * Supervise all on-site projects and subcontractors. * Implement plans to address delays, weather, or site emergencies. * Act as quality control, ensuring correction of deficient work. * Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to stakeholders. * Conduct assessments (cost, feasibility, energy efficiency, etc.) and obtain necessary permits. * Mediate subcontractor/supplier issues and approve material requests. * Assist the Project Manager in overseeing field construction. * Conduct inspections and report deficiencies to the Project Manager. * Ensure compliance with building codes, MSHA, OSHA, and other regulations. * Lead efforts to maintain a safe and clean job site by enforcing safety policies and procedures. * Conduct safety meetings, complete compliance reporting, and maintain logs. * Review contracts and subcontractor scopes with the Project Manager to ensure work compliance and avoid redundancy. * Maintain and distribute documentation for extra work orders, ensuring proper communication with the Project Manager. * Maintain and coordinate project documentation, including daily reports, drawings, requisitions, and time sheets. * Prepare and conduct subcontractor, safety, and coordination meetings to maintain schedule and project progress. * Manage the project close-out process, including inspections and punch list signoff. * Support the Project Manager with any additional closeout requirements. Education: * Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field. Experience: * 5-15 years of relevant construction experience required, preferably in the Power Generation industry, industrial maintenance & construction. * Proven experience managing projects successfully from start to finish. Knowledge Skills & Abilities: * Strong knowledge of the Power Generation industry, industrial maintenance, and construction. * Strong team leader with excellent communication and conflict resolution skills. * Skilled in negotiating and building relationships with owners and subcontractors. * Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams in a fast-paced environment. * Strong work ethic with excellent business judgment and organizational skills. * Capable of multitasking and handling competing priorities effectively. * Able to work long hours, in confined spaces, at heights, and on scaffolding. Work Location and Travel: * Daily travel within Florida and occasional travel outside the state. Work environment: * The working environment is often in harsh elements (hot / humid and/or cold temperatures, rain, etc.). Industrial environments often have exposure to hazardous chemicals, moving heavy equipment / machinery, and other safety-sensitive hazards / risks. Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl: Occasional, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. See: See details up close and at a distance. Judge distances. Detect differences in colors, shades, and brightness. Carry, weight, Lift: Must Be able to occasionally lift, move or carry up to 50 pounds. Exposure to work: Considerable time will be spent in processing environments indoors.
