Job Title: Personal Lines Insurance Producer

Location: San Diego, Oregon, WA, AZ, or NV

Job Summary

The Personal Lines Insurance Producer is responsible for generating new business by identifying potential clients, educating them on insurance products, and providing personalized insurance solutions. This role involves significant customer interaction, both in person and over the phone, to build and maintain relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Sales and Prospecting
  • Identify and contact potential clients to introduce personal lines insurance products.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
  • Conduct thorough needs analysis to understand client requirements and recommend suitable insurance coverage.
Client Service
  • Provide exceptional customer service to existing clients by addressing inquiries, processing policy changes, and handling claims assistance.
  • Regularly review and update clients' insurance portfolios to ensure adequate coverage and identify opportunities for additional sales.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions and transactions in the agency management system.
Product Knowledge and Compliance
  • Stay updated on the latest personal lines insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and industry trends.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies in the sales process.
  • Attend training sessions and professional development programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
Marketing and Networking
  • Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources such as real estate agents, mortgage brokers, and car dealerships.
  • Participate in community events and networking opportunities to promote the agency and generate leads.
  • Utilize social media and digital marketing tools to reach a broader audience and engage with potential clients.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Valid insurance producer license in the state of operation.
  • Three years of proven experience in insurance sales, preferably in personal lines.
  • Strong understanding of personal insurance products and coverage options.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using insurance agency management software and CRM systems.

  • Customer-focused with a commitment to providing high-quality service.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Compensation

Base salary plus commission structure based on sales performance.
