Job Summary

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, monitor the operation of the production processing line and equipment function through CRT interaction. Job Responsibilities

  • Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines
  • Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
  • Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule, or templates
  • Adjust processing parameters as needed to achieve desired results as communicated by Supervisor
  • Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction
  • Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance assuring product meets quality requirements
  • Perform routine machine maintenance
  • Effective communication of process concerns to Shift Supervisor and Team Members as needed
  • Assist other operators to set up machines and any other necessary tasks to adhere to deadlines and completion of product
  • Inspect and monitor positions of gates, valves, and chutes for proper operations and perform adjustments as needed
  • Transfer raw materials as needed with mobile equipment
  • Make sure all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area
  • Will act as a backup supervisor when shift/production supervisors are occupied or otherwise unavailable
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma/equivalent; or at least 1 month of related experience in trades specific to job requirements; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy in all aspects of work assignment

Compensation

  • Base pay starting at $24
