JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Center for Global Engineering Engagement (GEE) is seeking a graduate student worker to assist with the Global Engineering Fellows Program and support various activities within the Center. The role is ideal for a graduate student with an interest in study abroad, international education, and intercultural engagement. The position will offer experience in event coordination, program support, and general administrative tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
* Assist in scheduling and coordinating meetings and events for the Global Engineering Fellows Program
* Help prepare materials and logistical support for events and activities
* Support the development and distribution of promotional materials related to study abroad opportunities for engineering students
* Assist with administrative tasks related to the Global Engineering Fellows Program, including maintaining records and communication with participants
* Provide general support for GEE programs, including assisting with research or preparing content for internal projects
* Attend occasional evening meetings with Global Engineering Fellows, as needed
Qualifications:
* Current graduate student at Penn State
* Interest in study abroad, international education, and intercultural learning
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and social media platforms
* Ability to work up to 20 hours per week, with some evening availability for program-related activities
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with study abroad programs or international education
* Prior involvement in event planning or academic support
