Postdoctoral Research Associate I Posting Number req21478 Department Vet Med Administration Department Website Link https://vetmed.arizona.edu/ Location Main Campus Address Tucson, AZ USA Position Highlights We are seeking a postdoctoral research scholar to join our interdisciplinary research group located within the College of Veterinary Medicine with a focus on understanding and quantifying the roles of human-animal interaction on human mental health and wellbeing. The candidate will be dually mentored by both Dr. Emily Bray and Dr. Kerri Rodriguez. The ideal candidate will contribute to a funded research study investigating the impact of pets on human mental health and wellbeing by employing ecological momentary assessment tools to capture daily interactions with people and their pets. This position represents a unique opportunity for productive publication and innovative scholarly output for a postgraduate researcher. The ideal candidate should exhibit excellent writing skills, a demonstrated ability to publish in peer-reviewed outlets, and strong statistical analysis skills. They should also have a high level of organization, professionalism, reliability, interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Duties & Responsibilities Duties & Responsibilities: * Facilitate data collection by mobile apps, project coordination, and ongoing data management for a large international research study * Derive, analyze, and format data for publications, presentations, and grant proposals. * Prepare annual progress reports. * Present research findings at national and international conferences. * Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals. * Provide mentorship to graduate and undergraduate students. * Assist with community engagement efforts and results dissemination.
