Please review the following job description:
Dealer Commercial Team Leader is responsible for the overall performance for Dealer Commercial business in their assigned markets. Responsible for full balance sheet, P&L and risk management for the Dealer Commercial Vertical portfolio in their assigned markets. Works closely with CCB Region Presidents and other region personnel to drive performance, partnership, client connectivity and communication. The leader should process strong capital markets/corporate finance skills given the increasing size and complexity of dealer clients in a consolidating sector. The leader should also and be able to work closely with Truist Securities (Investment Banking) on M&A opportunities and other complex capital markets solutions. The Dealer Team Leaders, Dealer Bankers and Dedicated Dealer Product Partners will be focused on providing our Dealer clients with an advisory approach, high service level scores and best in class financial performance measured by balance sheet quality, profitability and growth, Risk Management and superior return metrics. The Dealer Commercial Leader will be charged with delivering all banking functions to our dealer clients in their assigned markets. This will include Indirect Retail, Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Deposit/Treasury/Merchant/Card, Insurance, Corporate Finance, Capital Markets and other Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Ensures the Dealer Commercial vison, strategy and targeted client/prospect selection is adhered to by their Dealer Bankers within their assigned Markets.
2. Dealer Commercial Team Leader manages their dealer bankers ensuring that Truist Culture and Sales Processes are effectively executed. Drives the sales culture, credit accountability and partnership with Region Presidents and dedicated product partners. Develops and executes a focused marketing plan, growing new relationships, and expanding existing client relationships. Responsible for meeting loan, deposit, capital markets and fee-based revenue expectations for the Dealer Commercial business segment for their assigned markets.
3. Dealer Team Leaders are responsible for managing the weekly sales meeting including facilitating Monday sales calls, inspecting calling and referral activity, managing pipeline and holding Dealer Bankers accountable for commitments through Friday debriefs.
4. Dealer Team Leaders sets the tone and ensures the Dealer Bankers deliver a differentiated Client Experience in all interactions with clients, prospects, and centers of influence driven by leveraging Corporate Finance/Truist Securities partners, use of Financial Insights and other strategic advisory tools and resources.
5. Dealer Team Leaders drives the teams to develop new business client relationships and improve market share (all products and services) with our dealer clients and prospects. Manage the Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) with extensive inclusion of IRM partners in client planning, sales meetings, call planning, joint calling with Dealer Bankers and development and delivery of custom solutions, including specific efforts to serve the Wealth Management needs of dealer principals, retail banking needs of their employees via Truist@Work, Momentum onUp and the Leadership Institute.
6. Dealer Team Leaders are responsible for the profitability/return metrics, quality, liquidity, and growth of the business segments portfolio for their assigned markets by ensuring the servicing of all client credit relationships, including credit proposal write-ups, file documentation, legal documentation, compliance, and loan closings, identifying potential portfolio weaknesses, and managing problems/delinquent credit relationships. Ensure adequate data integrity and risk management. Interpret and ensure communication of and adherence to the Bank's policies, programs and objectives.
7. Dealer Team Leaders are responsible for employment, training, performance ratings, salary changes, promotions, transfers, terminations, career enhancement and staffing for the Dealer Bankers.
8. Dealer Team Leaders participates in Auto related Industry groups and where appropriate local civic, government, professional, business, and community affairs, associations and groups to solicit new business and broaden their knowledge base of the Automotive sector.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training
2. Fifteen years of experience in financial services, preferably with a Dealer Commercial focus.
3. Strong auto industry knowledge and connectivity or the ability to quickly grasp and connect the dots
4. Ability to grasp large complex Dealer Commercial credits and complex capital structures
5. Proficient in leading geographically distributed teams that manage large and complex Dealer Commercial relationships; knowledgeable and experienced in complex credit products and structuring, including loan syndication and participations, Capital Markets and other Advisory solutions
6. Strong understanding of dealer operations and systems to include audit function, closing, servicing and credit policy
7. Strong interpersonal communications, capable of leading and developing Dealer Commercial Team Leaders and Dealer Bankers, recruiting talent (inside and outside of the Industry) and using the Truist leadership philosophy
