Job DescriptionJob Description
The Field Coordinator’s responsibilities may include the following:
Safety
- Must have taken OSHA 30 Hour Training
- Help maintain a safe, secure, clean, and organized job site
- Assist with completion of required daily safety documentation
- Monitor safety of all project employees including enforcing Rodger’s safety policies and procedures
- Become familiar with potential safety hazards and take corrective action
- Be first Aid/CPR certified
- Able to read and understand subcontractor site specific safety manuals
- Ensure all employees and visitors wear proper PPE at all times
- Complete weekly project safety checklist
- Conduct safety orientations and weekly safety meetings
- Help maintain underground utility as built
Construction Knowledge
- Able to read and understand construction documents
- Understand basic construction sequencing as it relates to constructability
- Have a general knowledge of construction equipment and hand tools
- Have a general knowledge of vertical and horizontal control and its purpose
- Familiarize oneself with construction documents, including but not limited to coordination drawings, shop drawings, specifications, submittals, RFI’s, etc….
Quality
- Verification of on-site material per approved submittals and product data
- Participate in inspections and design team site visits with project team and follow up with documentation
- Inspect and monitor on site material installation in accordance with construction documents
- Attend project meetings
- Complete Standards of Excellence quality checklists at appropriate times
- Track completion of quality control issues throughout the project
- Ensure subcontractors are utilizing Rodger’s vertical and horizontal control properly
- Utilizes Rodgers quality control software and ensure subcontractors are using it properly
- Verify and monitor climate conditions for on-site material
Schedule
- Become familiar with project schedule and sequencing
- Provide updates to assist with whiteboard scheduling
- Implement direction from project team superiors for daily activities
Administrative
- Create construction daily reports
- Coordinate project deliveries
- Maintain required field/weather logs
- Capable of using Rodgers current technological resources
- Coordinate and direct hourly field employees
- Archive subcontractor daily reports and JHA’s
Leadership
- Communicates effectively with the team
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Assist in managing subcontractors in the field
- Present a clean and professional image
- Be polite and courteous to all
- Teachable and willing to learn processes and policies
