Position Summary Provide audio support during Chartway Arena and SB Ballard Stadium events including Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, and ODU Football. This role will pay an hourly rate of $14. This position will remain open until March 14, 2025 About the Venue Chartway Arena is a 9,100-seat multi-purpose arena located on the campus of Old Dominion University. Opened in 2002 and managed by OVG, Chartway Arena is known as one of the premier midsized collegiate venues in the country. Chartway Arena is home to Old Dominion Monarch Men's and Women's basketball, as well as concerts, family shows, and other attractions for the Hampton Roads area. Responsibilities Responsibilities * Supply Audio support to events like, Old Dominion University's Men's and Women's Basketball and ODU Football games. * Providing great customer service to all clients and employees with Audio needs. * Assist in installing of new technology related to the audio system. * Set and strike portable sound systems, microphones, clear-com equipment for various events and internal needs. * Assist production staff for events in the building as they relate to the videoboard, in-house feeds, audio systems and intercoms. Qualifications Qualifications * Knowledge of electronics and electrical systems, Audio and Video systems, lighting systems preferred. * Experience with lighting, sound and video equipment including wireless mics, mixers, amplifiers, speakers, video boards, etc. * Prior Daktronics experience a plus. * Experience with signal routing and patching. * Must be able to competently analyze, prioritize and relay information to make appropriate recommendations for various productions. * Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with the public, other employees, live production and communications staff, and vendors. * Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to work events above and beyond the normal working day, including nights, weekends and holidays. * Must be organized and detail oriented. * Possess strong interpersonal skills; working with both internal and external clients.
