Specifically, we prefer that candidates have strong content competencies in English language and literature, with a teaching certificate in Arizona and/or Michigan (reciprocal). Holds valid State of Arizona teaching certificate and/or Reciprocal Michigan teaching certificate.2. Meets all certification requirements including teaching area endorsement in the State of Arizona.3. Reports to:Round Valley High School Principal and/or assigned Department Chairperson. Job Goal:To lead and inspire students toward the fulfillment of their academic and personal potentials by means of translating district curriculum objectives into effective, authentic learning experiences for each individual student. Terms of Employment:Salary and work year to be determined by the Board of Education. 1. Instructional A. To plan and implement a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of students within the district curriculum. B. To use effective teaching techniques and materials to implement established curriculum goals and objectives. C. To have a weekly written lesson plan describing daily learning experiences. This weekly lesson plan is to be correlated with the AZ College and Career Readiness objectives and curriculum guide and/or course outline. D. To monitor and assess student progress by means of formative and summarize assessments in order to provide feedback on a regular basis to students and their parents. E. To diagnose, instruct, and evaluate specific student needs and seek assistance of district specialists as required. F. To communicate objectives to students in a well planned, organized manner using clear and precise language.2. Climate A. To create a positive, engaging classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students. B. To assist the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing the development of proper student behavior. C. To develop and implement reasonable classroom rules of behavior and procedure in a fair and just manner.3. Student Relationships To create educational experiences that provide each student the opportunity to develop his/her potential in the areas of personal social adjustment, decision making, positive self Image, and other life skills.4. Professional A. To promote and follow adopted school district philosophy and policies and administrative procedures. B. To communicate concerns and ideas with colleagues, students, parents and community in a positive, professional, and ethical manner. C. To assume legal responsibility for the supervision of students on school property or in attendance at school sponsored activities. D. To strive to maintain and improve professional competence. E. To assume individual responsibilities which may be assigned by the principal or supervisor and which may relate to committee work, student activities student supervision, or other planning and professional assignments. F. To maintain accurate, complete, legible and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation G. To take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.5 Personal A. To conduct oneself in a professional, business-like, task oriented manner. B.
