Job Title: Superintendent
Job Description
An immediate opening for a Superintendent is available in Peoria, AZ. This position is ideal for a dedicated professional seeking a long-term opportunity to manage field operations on significant construction projects. The role requires overseeing on-site safety, managing subcontractors and suppliers, and ensuring project schedules and budgets are met. This role is LONG-TERM, not a short-term contract and has full benefits. Please only apply if seeking long-term opportunity.
Responsibilities
* Provide onsite field management for a single project.
* Manage on-site safety, subcontractors, suppliers, and self-performed work.
* Assist in implementing project-specific safety and accident prevention programs.
* Maintain safe work areas through regular job-site inspections.
* Coordinate, schedule, and manage all subcontractors and suppliers.
* Select construction practices and methods for accomplishing the work.
* Prepare weekly look ahead schedules, crew task lists, and daily reports.
* Prepare labor tracking reports.
* Maintain thorough understanding of project schedule and budget.
* Enforce plans and motivate employees to follow through.
* Assist project superintendent in locating and onboarding manpower.
* Develop and implement project plans.
* Maintain current contract documents.
* Schedule and manage multiple crews performing various tasks across the project site.
* Allocate resources, plan activities, review work, and manage consumables/equipment.
* Compile a comprehensive bill of materials and coordinate deliveries.
* Work closely with foremen and superintendents to monitor all activities.
* Prepare subcontractor and supplier agreements.
* Communicate changes in work or project costs.
* Assist in creating project CAD drawings.
* Responsible for quality control, schedules, and plan production.
* Delegate work and provide technical guidance.
* Assure design is technically sound and cost-efficient.
* Assist with project and team management.
* Mentor other design staff.
* Process plans and resolve issues with plan reviewers.
Essential Skills
* At least 4 years of experience with heavy civil construction projects.
* Experience with water/wastewater projects preferred.
* Experience in industrial and/or utility construction.
* Pipeline construction experience.
* Knowledge of earthworking, concrete form systems, concrete placement, metals works, carpentry, and mechanical work.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Mechanical construction and subcontractor management experience.
* Experience with heavy civil, field construction, and pipeline construction.
* Knowledge of water/wastewater construction.
* Experience with earthworks.
Work Environment
Projects are located around the Peoria, Glendale, and Phoenix metro area. Projects include water treatment plants, lift stations, booster stations, and reclamation facilities. A vehicle allowance of $700 per month and gas card are provided, or a company truck if available. This is a salaried position, with general working hours from Monday to Friday, 6am-2:30pm or 7am-3:30pm, subject to project demands. The role requires almost 100% field presence on project sites, with no out-of-state travel.

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $130000.00
