someone to fill the position of a Virtual Medical Transcriptionist/Editor to work in
the U.S. only.
JOB TYPE: Contract; MUST be U.S. citizen.
THE MISSION: Transcribe dictated reports for acute care facility. Utilizes
reference materials appropriately to facilitate the accuracy, clarity and
completeness of reports. Meets productivity requirements and follows
established transcription guidelines.
99% EDITING: Editing (acute care, clinic, cardiology). Transcription (acute
care, clinic, cardiology).
PLATFORM: eScription/EditScript/ESONE
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Experienced transcriptionist and editor, US based ICs only.
Must have strong knowledge of medical terminology and 2-3 years
transcription experience, knowledge of the basic 4 (H&P, Discharge
Summary, Operative Reports, Consultations). Experience with ESL
dictators.
Knowledge of medical transcription guidelines and practices.
Familiarity of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, disease
processes, signs and symptoms, clinical medicine, surgery,
diagnostic tests, radiology, pathology, pharmacology, and the various
medical specialties as required in areas of responsibilities.
Able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including English
usage, grammar, punctuation, and style.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must own all equipment needed, PC, foot pedal,
headphones, etc. Internet and a home office set-up.
PAYMENT: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
