Location Orlando FL Job Type Full-Time Regular SYMVIONICS has an immediate opening for an Jr. Digital Media Specialist / Artist LOCATION: NAWCTSD, Orlando, FL (*immediate opening)* Job Description Summary This position builds 2D images and 3D models for training and simulation products. This position also provides documentation, video creation, and other visual assistance. All work is accomplished in a government facility, with tightly controlled access, in Orlando, FL. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: * 3D modeling/texturing * 2D illustration/graphic design * Product documentation * Multimedia production Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibility. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. * Two years of experience in the areas of 3D modeling, photography, creating textures, manipulating digital photos, and creating page layouts. Education and/or Experience and Education The successful applicant will have or be working towards a B.S or B.A in fine arts, graphic design, digital media, commercial art or equivalent. Experience and Knowledge of the Following: Be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, using the English language, while working in a lab environment utilizing team building skills. Ability to: * Obtain a Government Security Clearance * U.S. Citizenship * Organize, plan and coordinate effectively * Maintain accurate records * Operate computer equipment and software * Work independently in the absence of supervision Software Proficiencies * Autodesk 3D Studio Max (or equivalent) * Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, Audition, After Effects) * Adobe Substance Suite (primarily Painter; Sampler, Designer a plus) * Unity3D * Adobe Captivate (a plus) * Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * Perforce (or equivalent) Certificate, Licenses, Registrations N/A Language Skills * Understand and follow oral and written instructions in English * Communicate clearly and precisely, both orally and in writing, in English * Ability to speak effectively with customers (to include government officials, corporate officials, and employees) * Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of the work Physical Demands: Maintain physical conditioning appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include: sitting at a desk using a computer for prolonged periods of time and move around workspaces to coordinate with other employees. Work location is in a government building with handicap access including an elevator.
