Purpose of the Job Perform aluminothermic welding on grooved rail systems to the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities * Execute welding tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and installation of grooved rails on railway tracks. * Conduct thorough inspections before and after welding to ensure alignment with industry standards and project specifications. * Adhere to all relevant safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members. * Maintain accurate records of welding activities, including completed welds, inspections, and any issues encountered during the process. * Work closely with the engineering and construction teams to ensure that welding tasks align with project timelines and objectives. * Ensure all welding equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and in good working order. Candidate Requirements Educational Requirements * High school diploma or equivalent is required. * Basic English Level / A1-A2 Desired Knowledge / Experience * * Experience: Minimum of [5] years of experience in aluminothermic welding, specifically with grooved rails in a railway environment. * Valid and traceable certifications in aluminothermic welding from recognized authorities. * Proficiency in using welding equipment, tools, and materials specific to aluminothermic welding and grooved rail systems * Strong understanding of railway track systems, grooved rail welding techniques, and safety regulations. * Additional certifications in related welding techniques or track work. Previous experience working on large-scale railway projects.
