The Event Police Officer will help provide a safe environment by assisting with security operations. This position will be involved with supervising the execution of standard operating policies and procedures while delivering a high level of customer service.

This is a TEMP ROLE from April 1- July 31, 2025

This role pays an hourly rate of $50.00.

This position will remain open until June 20, 2025.


Centene Community Ice Center is a state-of-the-art facility designed for hockey programming that is curated for all ages and skill levels. It houses three sheets of ice year-round and features an outdoor rink for use in winter months. It is the official practice facility for the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League (NHL) and serves as the home rink for Lindenwood University (NCAA DI). Alongside hockey development programs, the facility also offers freestyle skating and daily public skate sessions providing a unique experience for locals to get on the ice.

Saint Louis Music Park is a 4,500-seat outdoor venue that hosts concerts, festivals, local markets, and more. Performers have included Alicia Keys, Machine Gun Kelly, The Avett Brothers, 5 Seconds of Summer, Jack White, and many more. It offers an intimate outdoor amphitheater experience and boasts a fan-centric pavilion featuring food trucks, picnic tables, yard games, and more.


  • Provide security assistance for assigned events at the facility.
  • Perform crowd management and control techniques; Assist with police and fire rescue.
  • Remain calm in emergency response situations which could be life threatening.
  • Understand the organization and operation of the facility and of outside agencies as necessary to assume assigned responsibilities.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Assist in general duties of public safety, theft deterrence and loss prevention.
  • Ability to work security check-points and other posts plus traffic assistance.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by manager.

  • Must be a current Maryland Heights police officer.
  • Possess demonstrable experience with the characteristics, services and activities of public facility security and safety programs.
  • Verifiable similar experience in a large, service-oriented environment.
  • Working knowledge of pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes and regulations.
  • Read, speak, write and comprehend the American English language.
  • Major course work in law enforcement, public / business administration or a related field.
  • Two years of responsible experience in law enforcement or security services.
  • Ability to work beyond normal business hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
