Description
V2X is growing! V2X is looking for a Model Maker to join our team!
Performs the following duties, and other required activities as assigned:
- Must demonstrate competencies necessary to meet business requirements. May perform as a member or leader of a functional and/or cross-functional team.
- Constructs or fabricates prototype, mechanical/electrical parts and assemblies to verify design, functionality and documentation.
- Provides information to engineering to enhance product manufacturability, quality and reliability.
- Maintain a working knowledge of various raw materials used in Avionics manufacture and be capable of programming the equipment required to perform their tasks.
- Provide information to manufacturing engineering pertaining to cost, schedule and quality requirements prior to manufacturing release.
- Provides support to manufacturing during the transition from design to production.
- Requires comprehensive experience in studying and following verbal and written specifications, such as blueprints, sketches, verbal instructions or descriptions, and must be able to visualize product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate and/or assemble complex parts.
- Ability to obtain a secret security clearance may be required.
Education Requirement: High School Diploma or Equivalent
