We are currently hiring a Night Shift Dispatcher to work out of our Hobbs, NM location. You will be working the night shift from 6 pm - 6 am. This is a 6 on, 3 off schedule.
Pay Range: $20-$22/hr. DOE
Responsibilities:
- Schedule, coordinate collection, and notify drivers according to customer requests and company rules and communicate with customers to determine driver needs
- Monitor drivers' progress to ensure daily pick-ups are completed and resolves issues that impede progress.
- Receiving and logging calls from various contracted oil rigs and gas plants that need delivery or pick up of equipment on their locations.
- Maintain appropriate files and documentation, in accordance with company policy and internal controls
- Answering phones, staying in contact with each driver and direct them to various locations.
- Must be able to read maps and navigate drivers via GPS tracking system.
- Liaise with internal teams to determine service requirements, resolve problems or complaints
- Work in conjunction with other departments to resolve customer disputes & demonstrate the ability to become proficient in the use of operational systems.
- Assisting driver(s) when a pick up or delivery is in question before servicing.
- Demonstrate effective use of software applications, at a minimum MS Word and Excel proficient.
Requirements:
- 2 years of Dispatcher experience in a transportation or logistics atmosphere preferred .
- Excellent organization and communication skills, both orally and written.
- Pleasant demeanor over the phone and emails
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Critical and logical thinking skills
- Able to multitask all while compiling statistics and reports on workload progress to report to management
