Overview
The successful candidate will have a strong interest in cancer biology and therapeutics and will function as part of a multidisciplinary basic science and translational team, including laboratory investigators, clinical investigators, computational biologists and medical oncologists. The primary role involves a combination of molecular biology, genetics and translational oncology discovery. The candidate will lead efforts to generate organoid models from biopsy specimens derived from patients undergoing therapy at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Additional responsibilities will include testing therapeutic sensitivity on these organoid models, as well as integrating genomic and transcriptomic data with functional profiling data. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the research from initial processing of the biopsy specimen to organoid culture and drug sensitivity analysis.

Responsibilities
* Maintaining clear records of experimental work.
* Operating and maintaining lab equipment independently
* Working jointly investigating and implementing new technologies based on scientific needs
* Maintaining cell lines and isolating primary cells for use in cell based assays.
* Lentiviral transduction techniques for ORF-overexpression experiments or RNAi and CRISPR-Cas9 knockdown/knockout experiments.
* Performing a variety of basic cancer biology assays, including in vitro proliferation or apoptosis assays, drug sensitivity assays, soft agar assays,
* Ability to effectively work in a supervised team to accomplish common goals.
* Troubleshooting and solving scientific problems jointly with supervision.
* Effectively Organizing, reporting and communicating study outcome in cross-functional project teams and working across various platforms and programs to achieve results
Qualifications
The candidate must have a PhD, or MD/PhD with several years of relevant experience in molecular and cellular biology with experience in cancer biology.
