POSITION TITLE: Organizational Development Manager
REPORTS TO: Chief People Officer
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None
JOB GRADE: 3 $64,400 – $75000
FUNCTION:
The Organizational Development Manager plans, develops, implements, and administers development and training programs for all ORRA staff. The manager also acts as liaison and advisor to the organization's leadership and facilitates initiatives across the organization.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
DUTIES
- Directs the needs assessment for training and staff development to enhance the effectiveness of staff performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the association.
- Identifies and incorporates best practices and lessons learned into program plans.
- Designs and develops training programs for management and employees.
- Develops learning activities, audio-visual materials, instructor guides and lesson plans.
- Reviews evaluations of training courses, objectives and accomplishments.
- Makes assessments of effectiveness of training in terms of staff accomplishments and performance.
- Trains employees in HR issues and practices. Presents course materials.
- Helps and executes HR’s onboarding vision, reinforces the associations commitment to new staff and drives the new hire experience.
- Consults with management on performance, organizational and leadership matters.
- Conducts needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance staff job performance and overall company performance.
- Staff process interventions that include team building, conflict resolution, communication training, leadership training, and management development.
- Manages staff success in including performance management systems, career planning and development system as well as succession planning.
- HR Generalist duties such as recruiting talent, payroll, and backup of Chief People Officer
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven effective management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
- Bachelor's degree in training and development or organizational development.
- Three years of training experience, and at least one year of management experience.
- Experience designing and implementing effective training and development programs.
- CPLP credential, preferred.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential, preferred.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time.
