Job Description : Ridge Runner Resources II (RRR) is currently seeking an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer, who will report to our Reservoir Engineering Manager. Company Overview : Ridge Runner Resources II is a Houston-based privately held exploration and production company focused on aggregating, growing, and responsibly developing an established operated position in the northern Delaware Basin. Led by Co-Chief Executive Officers Scott Germann and Brian Cassens, the RRR team has a proven track record of creating value through acquisition, optimization, and development of unconventional oil and gas assets. Prior to Ridge Runner Resources II, the RRR team built, managed, and successfully divested multiple upstream companies, including Ridge Runner Resources I and Chisholm Energy. Ridge Runner Resources II closed on a capital commitment from EnCap Investments L.P. and was formed in August 2023. EnCap Investments is a leading provider of venture capital to the independent sector of the U.S. energy industry. Job Responsibilities : Maintain ARIES reserves database, including production forecasts, reserve classifications, operating assumptions consistent with LOS, ownership, etc. Work with team to maintain budget forecast and associated AFE approvals. Evaluate asset potential and forecast well productivity and reservoir performance using decline curve analysis, pressure and rate transient analysis, etc. Work with multidisciplinary team to generate and execute a development plan that maximizes the value of RRR’s assets. Evaluate potential acquisitions, divestitures, and trades and work with team to execute on A&D strategy. Must be self-motivated and able to work individually, as well as within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team environment. Job Requirements : B.S. in Petroleum Engineering (or similar degree with applicable experience) 5-10 years of experience as a Petroleum Engineer with 5 years in Reservoir Engineering Permian (Delaware) Basin experience Highly proficient in ARIES (ComboCurve is a plus) Other Software/Skills: Microsoft Office, Enverus/IHS, mapping/visualization software, data management (SQL/Access), Python programming is a plus Ability to work across disciplines (i.e. geology, land, operations, finance) to perform efficient economic evaluations, asset development, and corporate planning Ability to manage several time-sensitive projects simultaneously, while maintaining technical standards Excellent presentation and communication skills Currently live in, or have the ability to relocate to Houston, TX Ridge Runner Resources II is an equal opportunity employer.
