Job Title Device Support Student Technician (up to 2 positions) Special Instructions to Applicants Hiring up to 2 positions Must be able to work at least 10 hours per week (2 hour per shift minimum) Posting Number 20161509STD Job Description Under the supervision of full-time technical staff, the Device Support technician assists with PC/Mac computer assessment and repair. Other duties include completing service tickets, new computer imaging and installation, Tier 1 software/hardware troubleshooting, and interacting with Ohio University's diverse staff, faculty, and other student population. Duties include: * Software / hardware installation & troubleshooting * Network Connection issues * Hardware troubleshooting (Macs & PCs) * Creating work orders in ticketing system * Providing exceptional customer service * Assisting customers with first time laptop set up * Performing data transfers * Reimaging laptops Minimum Qualifications * Attention to detail * Good time management skills * Strong work ethics * Ability to work in a team * Punctual * Excellent customer service * Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office * Ability to follow confidentiality policies Must be enrolled in classes at Ohio University (Undergraduate Minimum - six credit hours, Graduate Minimum - five credit hours), Hocking College (Minimum - six credit hours) or a local area secondary school during the normal academic year.
