Description Job title: Postdoctoral research in gamma delta T cell biology Principal investigator: Karen Edelblum, PhD Job Description: The position focuses on research of peripheral and tissue resident gamma delta T cells using murine models of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) with the potential for translational studies in Dr. Karen Edelblum's lab (http://www.edelblumlab.com) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. The candidate will lead independent projects to investigate the molecular mechanisms regulating gamma delta T cell function to identify potential therapeutic opportunities. Interested individuals will be encouraged to develop an independent research program and eventually apply for independent grant funding. Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities: Design and implement research studies Collect and analyze data; perform quality control, interpret, summarize results Master prior literature and place findings in appropriate scientific context. Publish results in peer-review journals. Collaborate with other researchers in the lab to improve the efficiency of research. EOE Minorities/Women/Disabled/Veterans Compensation The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $72500 - $80000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
