Position: Senior Technology Development Engineer, II Job Description: Work on exciting early-stage product development projects that will lead to new ophthalmic lenses, lens manufacturing processes and lens delivery devices. Involve with all stages of product development from feasibility to verification and finally transferring product to manufacturing. Provide significant input to product conceptualization and design and feasibility testing. Documents work in laboratory notebooks and Technical Reports. Perform activities associated with the development of new ophthalmic lenses, lens manufacturing processes and lens delivery devices in accordance with Design Control procedures. Develop product specifications, manufacturing methods and procedures. Conduct test protocols, verification and validation activities, and equipment qualifications. Prepare test protocols and reports, verification and validation reports, and equipment qualification protocols. Responsible for producing product development documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practice. Represent R&D on cross-functional teams that are working on product development projects. Requirements: Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or in a related field One (1) year of experience in job offered, or as a Quality Engineer, or in a related occupation Experience/skills must including the following - * Experience in medical device industry * Knowledge of Design Control procedures and Quality systems * Experience developing and transferring new products * Experience with verification, validation, and equipment qualification * Skills in one or more advanced engineering or scientific software package, e.g. Solidworks, Matlab * Knowledge of and ability to follow Design Control requirements. * Knowledge of validation and verification techniques Job site: Monrovia, California. Salary range - $130,000 - $170,000/per year - Final compensation will depend on experience.
