You'll be responsible for crafting a variety of visual assets, including infographics, data-driven charts, maps and diagrams, and presentations, tailored for both print and digital platforms. Your ability to simplify intricate data sets and abstract ideas into clear, user-friendly visuals will play a key role in making information accessible to diverse audiences. May oversee the work of less experienced staff members. What You'll Do: * Creates print and digital materials for proposals, including templates, charts, maps, infographics, covers and layout. * Creates print and digital materials for presentations, including PowerPoints, leave-behinds, and display boards. * Creates print and digital materials for PR and internal communications, including brochures, ads, and announcements. * Follows and implements the visual identity direction from leadership on key projects and pursuits. * May work on complex projects requiring specialized design or industry knowledge, including leading creative direction for print and digital materials for proposals, presentations or other marketing-related efforts. * Utilizes storytelling techniques and champions creative vision on key projects and pursuits. * Leads maintenance and organization of digital assets such as icons, photography, and stock graphics. * Coordinates with print vendors and photographers. * Responsible for final graphics review and approval. * Mentors lower-level designers. Regularly shares and discusses work with creative staff. * May assist with conducting trainings for Marketing staff. * Performs other duties as assigned. What You'll Need: * Associates Degree in Art, Graphic Design or related field and 6 years of relevant experience, or * In lieu of education 8 years of relevant experience What You'll Bring: * Proficiency in Graphic Design Tools: Experience using design software such as InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator to create compelling and polished visual content, with guidance from senior staff. * Data Visualization Expertise: Demonstrated ability to convert complex data and information into clear, engaging, and visually appealing illustrations, infographics, and charts, with support from senior team members. * Creative Problem-Solving: Strong capability to assess design challenges and develop creative visual solutions that communicate complex ideas simply, under the mentorship of more experienced staff. * Presentation Skills: Ability to design and develop presentation templates that clearly convey data-driven stories; participation in rehearsals to refine communication. * Collaborative Mindset: Willingness to collaborate in the development and delivery of training sessions for team members, helping to enhance design and visualization skills across the team. * Typography Knowledge: Understanding of typography principles such as line length, tracking, and leading to ensure text in visual designs is legible and aesthetically pleasing. * Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail in ensuring visual consistency, accuracy of data representations, and alignment with project goals in public-facing materials.
