Job Details Job Location: York County - Wells, ME Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Salary Range: Undisclosed Description SALARY/BENEFITS: This position is classified at Level 3, with a salary of $54,824.92 and full benefit package commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MEA Administrators Unit. This is a 10-month per year position. Employee will be paid year-round and continue to receive insurance during all 12 months, prorated accordingly. POSITION SUMMARY: York County Community College (YCCC), a dynamic institution with a proud 30-year history of transforming lives and communities throughout York County, Maine, is seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as the Instructional Technology Coordinator. The Instructional Technology Coordinator has the overall responsibility for overseeing and maintaining YCCC simulation labs, including all virtual and augmented reality tools. The coordinator will work closely with the Department Chairs for scheduling and oversight of the facilities. Duties include working collaboratively with faculty, as well as any academic program within the college that may identify the need to utilize simulation in their curriculum and community users to enhance their learning experience. The coordinator will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of all equipment and supplies, including sophisticated high-fidelity mannequins, computer equipment, virtual and augmented reality tools, and medical equipment. They will be responsible for coordinating a broad range of simulations and providing training/orientation to both faculty and students. The coordinator works as a member of an academic team, responsible for designing, implementing, and modifying simulations to accurately replicate realistic scenarios using sophisticated high- and low-fidelity simulation equipment and software. The coordinator will support faculty during the debriefing process to assure fluidity of the experience for the student. They will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and updating the policies and procedures for the simulation labs and maintaining an inventory of supplies. The coordinator will work with outside agencies to provide certification classes and training as requested. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include but are not limited to the following; * Works collaboratively with faculty to develop and implement simulation scenarios, as appropriate to meet designated learning outcomes. Provides training and orientation for faculty and students on the use of simulation equipment and the associated electronic programs to be used during the simulation. * Participates in simulation activities and assists faculty, as needed, as the software operator in the control room. Inspects and maintains simulation and virtual reality tools to ensure simulation labs/areas and equipment are in good working condition. * Grows in knowledge of the high-fidelity simulators and lab equipment, software and apps, and virtual reality equipment through site visits of other institutions, investigation of new software/apps and equipment, and attending professional development to learn about the most up-to-date technology available. * Manages the day-to-day operations of the simulation lab including the scheduling, maintaining, supply requisition and the oversight of all simulation activities. Develops, reviews, and updates the policies within the simulation labs. * Facilitates and tracks progress in achieving simulation standards as established by each academic program utilizing the labs and community partners. Collects and analyzes data regarding the effectiveness of simulations on student learning. * Works with community partners to provide requested classes and training utilizing the simulation labs resources. * Works in conjunction with internal stakeholders to produce branded, digital material - developing concepts, and writing content. Performs other related duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree in technology, health, or a closely related field and work experience using simulation and scenario-based education. * Simulation management experience or a combination of education and experience may be substituted. * One to three years of experience in related field, or combination of education and experience commensurate with the requirements of this position PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Master's degree in related field; CMPS, CHSOS, or equivalent certification. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES * Recent experience working with simulation in an educational institution (preferably at the college level) or an equivalent setting; Excellent working knowledge of high-fidelity mannequins used in simulation; * Comfortable working knowledge of computer, audio, video, and virtual and augmented reality technology; * Experience in the development and implementation of simulation scenarios; * Excellent teamwork skills with ability to communicate effectively with academic and technical colleagues, vendors, and students at all levels * High level of comfort with moulage.
