About The Role The HR Transformation & Transactions Services (HRTS) group provides advisory services to private equity and corporate clients for all people and human capital related issues throughout the deal lifecycle. We combine deep technical expertise in the HR, compensation and benefits space to help our clients make informed decisions, focusing on organizational and HR issues that materially impact enterprise valuation and mitigate risk. Our client engagements primarily fall into the four categories: * HR Due Diligence (pre-sign): focused on the financial aspects of the HR function, compensation and benefits * Merger Integrations (post-sign): focused on identifying synergies within the HR functions, compensation and benefits programs and execution planning * Carve-Outs (post-sign): focused on standing up a new HR function, including payroll / HCM, compensation and benefits programs * Performance Improvement (non-M&A): focused on value creation opportunities across the G&A platform, including enterprise-wide organizational design, hire-to-retire process improvement, HR technology improvement, and cost savings opportunities related to compensation and benefits programs We are currently seeking a Senior Director for our HRTS group within our Business Transformation & Transactions practice. For this specific role, we are seeking a candidate who will primarily focus on Merger Integrations, Carve-Outs and Performance Improvement engagements. However, the individual will also have the opportunity to work on HR due diligence engagements, particularly where it is expected there may be a follow on (e.g., post-sign integration or carve-out) opportunity. What You'll Do * Work with FTI's Transactions teams on carve-out and integration engagements, focusing on the establishment and/or merging of HR functions, compensation and benefits platforms, providing PMO oversight across the various key HR workstreams, including Day 1 readiness, SPA & TSAs, employee transition & offer letters, HR target operating model, retention, severance/RIFs, payroll / HCM, compensation and benefit plans, and employee communications * Business Development responsibilities, including sourcing new engagements via existing FTI client-base, or external sources (prior clients and new client prospects) * Work alongside FTI's Business Transformation teams on performance improvement projects * Conduct current state assessments on the HR department, compensation and benefits programs to identify cost reduction and efficiency opportunities * Lead and manage the engagement process from start to finish, including setting scopes, budgets, staffing resources, creation and coordination of client-ready deliverables with FTI's engagement teams, and direct communication of results with clients * Oversee and drive development of staff, including being mentor and coach to junior team members How You'll Grow This is an excellent opportunity to enhance and expand your transaction and buy and sell side deal experiences, project management and delivery, and leadership experience. You will work closely with our internal teams as well as with diverse clients across various industries. You will gain exposure to PE investors and visibility into the process of evaluating companies primed for growth. What You Will Need To Succeed Basic Qualifications: * 10+ Years relevant post-graduate experience in HR Consulting and/or Actuarial Experience to include HR due diligence, carve-outs, HR integrations, HR performance improvement or actuarial experience with an accounting or HR consulting firm * Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting or related field of study * Ability to travel to clients and FTI offices Preferred Skills: * Experience in managing multiple engagements and engagement teams * Experience with HR operations, organizational design, employee benefits, compensation programs, pensions, post-retirement medical, health and welfare plans, workforce analytics, and HR department infrastructure * Experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis and the ability to link business strategy to performance and due diligence findings * Proficient with PC environments and related software, including Microsoft Office applications.
