Psychiatrist

A Psychiatrist is needed in Valparaiso, IN.

Titan Placement Group invites you to explore an opportunity in the beautiful area of Northern Indiana. Our client, an integrated outpatient health center, has been open for over 20 years and focuses on Indiana's underinsured, uninsured, and low-income patients.

Salary and Benefits

  • The pay range for this position is $250,000k - $330,000k
  • Health Insurance – Employers Pay 70% (Around $80 Per Pay Period)

  • Student Loan Repayment – Eligible from $50,000 -$100,000

Responsibilities

  • Monday- Friday (Work / Life Balance)
  • Hybrid Role
  • Outpatient
  • No On-Call, No Weekends, and No Nights
  • Full Support Staff
  • Autonomy
  • Interviewing patient, family, and other persons; conducting physical examinations; observing behaviors; reviewing medical history and related documents; selecting, administering, and interpreting psychological tests; ordering laboratory tests and evaluating results.
  • Develops treatment plans by determining nature and extent of cognitive, emotional, developmental, social, and behavioral disorders; establishing treatment goals and methodologies.
  • Treats patients by utilizing psychotherapeutic methods and medications; discussing progress toward goals with patients; providing instructions; monitoring effect of medications; supervising providers on the provision of services for clients with psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacology.
  • Maintains interdisciplinary treatment by reviewing treatment plans and progress; consulting and collaborating with primary care physicians, Behavioral Health Consultants, nurses, and other health care providers.
  • Assures quality and safe service for patients and staff by enforcing policies, procedures, standards, and legal regulations; participating in utilization reviews; remaining available for emergency consultations.
  • Improve staff competence by providing training and discussions regarding the interrelationship between psychosocial and physiological problems, psychotropic medications, crisis intervention, and related issues.
  • Maintained historical records by documenting symptoms, medications, and treatment events; writing summaries.
  • Participates in continuing medical educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Provides telehealth services for the majority of clients. Will be available to work with Behavioral Health Consultants.
  • Participates in the peer review process as required by the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA)
  • Completes target encounter number as per employment agreement

Requirements

  • Community Psychiatry background preferred
  • Graduation from an accredited medical school
  • Residency program completed
  • Board Certified in Psychiatry
  • DEA certification
  • CPR certification
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proven computer and database management skills
  • Cultural sensitivity
  • Operate a multi-line phone system and other office equipment including printers, fax machines, etc.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, EHR, online sources, etc.)
  • Direct Supervision of BHCs
  • All required Relias training
