Job Summary Statement:
As the Warehouse Manager at our manufacturing plant in Seguin, Texas, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse facilities. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse management, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Establish inventory locations and rules for stocking.
- Label all incoming materials at receiving.
- Oversee issuance of materials for production tickets.
- Oversee management of material scrap from quality.
- Oversee all material movement within the raw material warehouse and main production storage areas.
- Oversee movement of materials from production to shipping or fg storage.
- Manage min/max stocking by location/item.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to reconcile inventory levels.
- Manage cycle count process and annual physical inventory in Acumatica.
Warehouse Operations:
- Supervise the receiving, storage, and dispatch of materials and products.
- Enter PO receipts in ACM at receiving dock
- Communicate quantity discrepancies to Purchasing
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse layouts and workflows to maximize space utilization and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with material handling procedures and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the warehouse team.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization within the warehouse operations.
- Implement best practices and technological solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field or related experience, i.e. 10 years minimum in inventory controls with increasing responsibility and a minimum of 5 year in managerial or supervisor position.
- Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and warehouse operations best practices.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and warehouse management software (WMS).
- Skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
