Job Summary
A temporary position is available in the Barker Laboratory at the Drexel University College of Medicine, in the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology.
The successful applicant will have a PhD in neuroscience, pharmacology, psychology, or equivalent. The applicant must be comfortable working with mice and have an interest in investigating the neurocircuitry of neuropsychiatric illnesses and will be expected to support ongoing experiments in the lab though mouse behavioral and wet lab experiments. Experience performing behavioral experiments, working with HIV infection models, and stereotaxic surgery in rodents is necessary.
Essential Functions
* Mouse behavioral experiments.
* Small animal surgery.
* Basic wetlab experiments (Western blot, immunohistochemistry)
Required Qualifications
* Minimum of a PhD in Biology, neuroscience, other related.
Physical Requirements
* Typically sitting at a desk/table
* Typically standing, walking.
Location
* Center City, Philadelphia, PA.
Additional Information
This is a Full-time temporary position classified as non-exempt. The pay offered is based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
