Catastrophe Claims Manager Inside

What You'll Do: As the Catastrophe Claims Manager Inside you will oversee the operation of the catastrophe claims team which provides immediate response to catastrophic storm events to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle claim assignments involving homeowner, farm, and commercial risks. You will also:
* Develop and assist the CAT Claim Consultant in extensive training for the inside catastrophe team members to accurately evaluate coverages, investigate and evaluate damages, and set reserves on homeowner, farm and commercial policies.
* Monitor and measure the compliance of the inside catastrophe team with claims best practices.
* Manage, plan, and coordinate resources and staffing to effectively handle storm claims in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
* Evaluate storm processes and workflows with business unit management and storm coordinators to improve customer service, accuracy, and efficiency in alignment with the critical success factors.
* Oversee all staff development.
What It Takes to Join Our Team:
* College degree or equivalent plus eight years of relevant experience required.
* Two or more years previous leadership/management experience required.
* Associate in Claims (AIC) designation required.
* Must have a good working knowledge of construction, estimating, and estimating systems involved in the handling of property claims.
* Travel may be as high as 50% to effectively handle catastrophe claims.
* A valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Records are required.
* Maintains on-call availability with the ability to work for extended periods including weekends.
