WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM NEWS Required Qualifications * Experience: Television news - 0-2 years * Education: High school diploma * Technical Skills: Knowledge of current events, social media, and industry trends * Skills: Ability to collaborate, news writing skills, and attention to detail * Travel Ability: Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community * Schedule: Ability to work different shifts and be flexible with schedule changes Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field, comparable television work experience preferred * Working knowledge of general office computer software, newsroom software and basic non-linear editing systems * May be required to lift up to five pounds Working Conditions * Works primarily inside a climate-controlled environment throughout the year but might be assigned field duties on occasion * Semi-noisy newsroom setting SPECTRUM NEWS CONNECTS YOU TO MORE * Community Impact: You will play an important role in connecting people to, and informing them about, their local communities * Supportive Teams: Who you are matters here.
