Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
We are seeking a multi-platform Senior Art Director to join Project Kuiper's Marketing team. As a key creative leader for one of Amazon's most ambitious initiatives, you'll craft compelling visual narratives across social, digital, and traditional channels while pushing the boundaries of creative innovation. At Kuiper, our Art Directors are hands-on practitioners who blend strategic thinking with cutting-edge design execution to reach diverse audiences around the world.
In this role, you'll play a key role in establishing and evolving Kuiper's visual identity across all touchpoints, from social media content to integrated marketing campaigns. You'll lead platform-specific creative development while maintaining brand consistency and driving engagement across multiple channels. The ideal candidate combines deep platform knowledge, design expertise, and a keen understanding of emerging social and digital trends.
Key job responsibilities Social & Digital Leadership
• Drive creative excellence across all social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
• Design thumb-stopping social content optimized for each platform's specifications and audience behaviors
• Create innovative digital advertising campaigns across display, video, and social formats
• Develop platform-specific visual strategies that align with current trends and best practices
• Lead art direction for both organic and paid social content
• Develop/direct creation of motion graphics, animations, and short-form video content
Brand & Campaign Development
• Establish and maintain comprehensive brand guidelines and design systems
• Lead visual development for integrated marketing campaigns across all channels
• Direct the creation of marketing collateral including sales materials, presentations, and digital assets
• Design experiential and environmental graphics for events and installations
• Create compelling data visualizations and infographics to explain complex technical concepts
Digital Design & Production
• Direct the creation of email marketing templates and digital newsletters
• Develop digital display advertising campaigns across multiple formats and platforms
• Create responsive design systems for web and mobile applications
• Oversee banner ad production and rich media creative development
• Direct animation and motion graphics for digital platforms
Graphic Design & Visual Development
• Design and maintain brand identity elements including logos, typography systems, and visual guidelines
• Create high-impact marketing collateral including sales decks, one-pagers, brochures, and white papers
• Develop custom iconography and illustration systems that simplify complex technical concepts
• Design environmental graphics for trade shows, events, and office spaces
• Create compelling data visualizations and infographics
• Produce print-ready files for various applications and specifications
• Design branded templates for internal and external communications
• Develop visual assets for product launches and marketing campaigns
• Create cohesive design systems that scale across multiple touchpoints
• Design executive-level presentations and internal communication materials
• Develop packaging art concepts when needed
• Create style guides and asset libraries for global team usage
• Design digital and print advertising materials in various formats
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in Visual Design, Graphic Design, or related field
- 5+ years of art direction experience with strong social/digital portfolio
- Extensive experience designing for major social media platforms
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Expert knowledge of current social media trends and best practices
- Experience leading integrated marketing campaigns
- Excellence in typography, layout, and visual hierarchy
- Advanced proficiency in:
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD)
- Figma (or similar)
- Creative asset management systems
- Collaboration and review tools (Frame.io or similar)
- Experience in technology, telecommunications, or aerospace industries
- Motion design and video direction expertise, including:
- • Adobe After Effects
- • Adobe Premiere Pro
- • Cinema 4D or Blender
- Experience with social media content creation tools
- Proficiency in creating and optimizing digital ad formats
- Understanding of 3D visualization and technical illustration
