Help Duties * Provide technical assistance face to face or via telephone on an as needed basis with in processing, out processing, and reassignment compliance of military and civilian staff. * Perform complete review of records and other case documentation to ensure that they are procedurally correct, and that the documentation is sufficient. * Maintain coorespondance with higher headquarters on all military personnel transactions as required. * Track personnel actions for processing such promotion actions, awards, leaves/pass, evaluations, etc. * Research a variety of personnel regulations and policies on a regular basis to assist military personnel with queries and procedural requirements for all related military personnel actions. OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-04).
