OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Intranet Content Manager to join our team to manage Glenmede's intranet content. This is a new position to support our growing organization's evolving communications needs. The primary function of the role will be overseeing the day-to-day of Glenmede's SharePoint based intranet site. This includes leading all aspects of content management- collaborating with a community of content owners and editors, maintaining overall quality control on content and design as well as developing and implementing policies and standards to ensure effective and engaging content that meets the needs of the business.
RESPONSIBILTIIES:
This role has overall accountability for the information architecture, content quality, and governance of the intranet, working in partnership with the Technology team to ensure the provision of a best-in-class site that meets the business needs and provides a high-quality colleague experience, including the following:
Content Creation & Management. Manage the primary landing page of the site and work with content owners across the organization to develop compelling content, including articles, videos, newsletters, and other digital materials, to communicate company news, updates, and initiatives. Coordinate with content owners to ensure content is accurate, relevant, and up to date. Utilize SharePoint Online features like newsfeeds, blogs, pages, and document libraries to deliver diverse and engaging content.
Oversee Content Governance. Responsible for intranet governance, ensuring the platform is effectively managed and maintained. This includes overseeing the structure and organization of content, setting, and enforcing usage policies/expiration of documents, and ensuring the intranet remains a valuable and user-friendly resource for employees. Partner with IT to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
User Training. Create documentation on content management procedures and serve as the primary point of contact for content-related inquiries and support requests. Provide technical support to intranet users including training sessions and user guides to support employees in the effective use of the intranet.
Analyze and Improve Intranet Effectiveness. Monitor utilization and evaluate the effectiveness of intranet using SharePoint Analytics and other relevant tools. Develops reporting/dashboards with metrics to inform recommendations for improvement. Solicit and track user feedback to understand user needs and remain informed on external advances in intranet communication practices.
Compliance & Security. Ensure that content management practices adhere to internal security, compliance, and data protection policies. Manage content permissions and access controls within organizational guidelines and ensure compliance with Microsoft 365 retention policies and auditing protocols.
Stay Updated on Digital Trends. Keep abreast of the latest trends and best practices in digital communication to ensure the organization is leveraging the most effective tools and strategies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Technology, or a related field.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in internal communications or a related role, with a strong focus on digital channels. Preferably with prior responsibility overseeing an intranet or internet site.
* Proficiency in using intranet platforms (SharePoint, Jive, Confluence) and web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, content management systems, etc.).
* Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create or serve as an editor in the development of engaging and informative content.
* Ability to analyze communication metrics and feedback to measure effectiveness and drive improvements.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
* A creative mindset with the ability to develop innovative communication strategies and content.
