Position Description Performs professional level work at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center by conducting classes on a per-course or limited-term basis, without any guarantee of continuing employment. Responsibilities encompass the coordination and instruction of one or more courses within a prescribed curriculum. Teachers in this classification usually specialize in the academic subject, professional discipline or technical skill being taught at the time of employment. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based upon results obtained. May supervise subordinate employees assigned to area of responsibility. Preferred Qualifications * Minimum of 2 years of experience in baccalaureate nursing education preferred to teach at the baccalaureate level. * Minimum of 2 years clinical experience required for clinical teaching roles. * Awareness of current issues/trends in nursing and higher education. Required Qualifications * Master's degree in Nursing required. * All degrees must be from an accredited college or university. * Unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Texas.
