Apple's Silicon Engineering team is looking for a highly skilled and motivated ASIC Design Engineer to join our dynamic group. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing custom SoCs that drive the performance and efficiency of Apple's products. Description * Design and Development: Design, implementation, and verification of complex ASICs. Develop RTL code using verilog and perform synthesis to ensure high performance, low power, and area-efficient designs. - Verification: Engage with simulation-based and formal verification teams to ensure robust design validation. - Integration and Testing: Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate digital designs into complex SoCs. - Timing and Power Analysis: Conduct static timing analysis, perform power estimation and optimization, and address design constraints to achieve timing closure and power efficiency. - Documentation and Reporting: Create detailed design documentation, including specifications and design descriptions. Communicate progress and technical challenges to stakeholders. - Tool and Flow Development: Contribute to the development and improvement of design flows, methodologies, and tools. Minimum Qualifications * Minimum of BS + 10 years relevant industry experience. Preferred Qualifications * Proven experience in ASIC design, including RTL design, verification, and physical implementation. Hands-on experience with ASIC design tools and methodologies is essential. * Technical Skills: Proficiency in Verilog, RTL design, logic synthesis, and timing analysis. Experience with EDA tools (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence) and design for testability (DFT) techniques. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex design challenges and deliver innovative solutions. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams. * Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable designs. * Experience with high-speed I/O design and protocols. * Familiarity with custom ASIC design and FPGA prototyping. * Hands on experience in all aspects of the chip development process with proficiency in front end tools and methodology (e.g., CDC/RDC, LINT, LEC, etc.). * Knowledge of low-power design techniques and power optimization strategies. * Experience with advanced verification methodologies such as UVM (Universal Verification Methodology). * Apple is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
