Salary/Position Classification * $15.00-$17.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime) * 150 hours per semester hours per week * 100% Remote Work Availability: No * Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No Purpose of Position This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position. As the Faculty Affairs Strategic Communications Intern, you will work with Vice Provost Randi Tanglen on two specific projects: the Faculty Affairs monthly newsletter and UND CONNECT, a community outreach program for faculty and their students. You will have the opportunity to work in a fun and vibrant campus office, and interact with UND professors, administrators, and various offices on campus. Duties & Responsibilities * Faculty Affairs newsletter: * Update/refresh the design and branding of the monthly Faculty Affairs newsletter and blog * Edit and reformat content submitted by faculty and departments * Develop a system/calendar for managing content submission * Recommend and implement best practices for internal newsletter communication * Maintain and update newsletter distribution lists * UND CONNECT: * Coordinate with VPFA, UND Marketing & Communications, and UND CONNECT faculty to tell the success stories of UND CONNECT * Develop a strategic internal communications plan for announcing next round of UND CONNECT funding * Recommend and implement best practices for updating UND CONNECT webpage Required Competencies * Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines required Minimum Requirements * Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or related major or minor * Experience with a blog or website platform such as WordPress and Wix preferred * This is an on-campus internship during the spring semester and will begin January 20, 2025, and end May 15, 2025 * Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
