The HR Compliance and Data Analyst is responsible for creating and maintaining an updated employee policy database. The HR Compliance and Data Analyst is responsible for creating and maintaining an updated employee policy database. In addition, the role will work in partnership with the Executive Director of HR to maintain and publish updates to the employee handbook. This position is responsible for managing the HR Document retention system, HR Compliance Training creation and delivery, HR Data auditing and will partner with the Executive Director, HR on the implementation and maintenance of a compensation grading system to be used at Beacon College. This position will be the day-to-day contact who supports Beacon College faculty. This role will also take lead on various HR special projects as assigned by the Executive Director of HR. Duties and Tasks * Utilizing Paycor, handles onboarding and offboarding of faculty and adjunct staffing as needed. Obtain approvals, post jobs, forward applications, create employment offer letters and agreements, and initiate background checks. * Represents Human Resources on the faculty hiring committees. * Under the direction of the Executive Director of HR draft, edit and implement all of HR University policies and procedures. * Partner with Executive Director of HR to implement a compensation grading system for all employees including job description audit, grading scale and salary ranges. * Conduct or assist with conducting classification audits to ensure that jobs are properly classified as exempt or nonexempt. * May guide and/or assist with performance, benefit, and compensation review and evaluation processes. * Ensure Human Resources organizational compliance across all functions including ACA, provide guidance and make recommendations to Executive Director of HR on procedural updates. * Assist in the review of the employee handbook and audit regularly for necessary updates. * Create and manage HR document retention program. * Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices. * Conduct I-9, IPED, CUPA and AAUP Faculty Compensation data audits. * Work collaboratively with Executive Director of HR to implement an employee relations/ ethics hotline reporting system. * Compile data for and responding to internal and external audits. * Assist in the review of MEP Forfeiture Account reconciliation. * Responsible to stay well versed in employment law and aware of any updates to compliance regulations. * Create training related to employment law and compliance regulation changes. * Create policy related and manager training for all employees. * Oversight and management of special projects for the HR team as assigned by the Executive Director of HR. Required Knowledge, Skill and Abilities Knowledge * Knowledge of legal compliance, applicable workplace laws and regulations and best practices. * Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods. * Knowledge of laws and regulations relating to including, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended (Title VII), and guidelines and standards established by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Department of Labor (DOL) and the Office for Civil Rights (OCR). * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required. * A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Human Resources, preferably in the area of regulatory, compliance or related field. * Paycor Knowledge preferred Skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Excellent organizational and time management skills. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Attention to detail * Advanced skills in Excel with ability to manipulate large amounts of data required. * Experience working in higher education preferred. * Excellent partnering, communication, and presentation skills Abilities * Ability to work at all levels in the organization * Ability to manipulate and analyze data to inform opportunities and areas of focus are crucial * Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. * The ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS, payroll, and similar employee management software. * Ability to work collaboratively with a team of employees Environment The work environment characteristics described here are a representation of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
