Job Summary We are seeking to hire a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to assist with a project in Dr. Liz Duval's research lab in the Department of Psychiatry. This project will investigate hippocampal-dependent learning and memory processes associated with childhood adversity and opioid use disorder. Responsibilities* Project Specific Responsibilities: * Run behavioral, physiological (skin conductance), and neuroimaging (MRI) experiments in humans. * Process and analyze physiological and neuroimaging data. * Train research assistants, students and other research staff in research methods and analysis. * Literature searches, manuscript writing, and presentation of results. * Writing proposals and grants. Required Qualifications* * Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field. Desired Qualifications* * An understanding of medical terminology, experience in a large complex health care setting, ability to effectively communicate with staff and faculty of all levels, and knowledge of university policies and procedures is desirable. * Experience using E-Prime to develop and administer tasks to assess cognitive and emotional processes. * Experience collecting, processing, and analyzing MRI and physiological data. * Experience working with clinical populations, especially individuals with trauma and substance use disorders. * Experience training students on study procedures. * Track record of research productivity (e.g. publications in scientific journals). Work Schedule Flexible 40 hours per week within the following: 8 AM to 7 PM Monday through Friday. Occasional weekends. Must be physically on-site at least three days per week.
