JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Dunedin Blue Jays are looking for a hardworking, dependable, and self-driven individual motivated to be make broadcasting their career. This role will be responsible for providing assistance to our Communications team during Spring Training and providing commentary and analysis for all home games for the Dunedin Blue Jays for our live stream broadcasts. They will ensure that games are produced at a high-quality working closely with teams (subcontracted) production company. They will also provide media relations oversight for the Dunedin Blue Jays minor league season.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide commentary and analysis during live broadcast of Dunedin Blue Jays home games.
- Assist with daily rundown creation for broadcast
- Conduct interviews with home team players and coaches
- Follow broadcasting guidelines and standards, including ethical considerations and FCC regulations. Maintain professionalism on air and represent the team and broadcasting organization positively.
- Deal with possible technical issues during the game, handling challenges with composure and solution driven.
- Research team, league, MLB/MiLB players and statistics to build game day notes and utilize the information when performing your duty as commentator.
- Maintain and distribute updated team rosters, notify MLB of roster moves.
- Compile daily game note/stat packets for distribution to media and broadcasters
- Write daily game recaps and press releases for website
- Pitch stories to local media members and strengthen relationships with media members.
- Assist in maintaining website.
- Assist social media team by clipping plays and writing captions
- Attend all team meetings.
- Write, record and edit commercials for various promotions and sponsors
- Assist Toronto Communications with distributing rosters, game notes to Spring Training media members.
- Other duties as assigned
- Be willing to work with entire front office to assist in the day-to-day operation, when needed.
- Previous play by play announcing, preferably in Baseball.
- Previous experience with StreamGuys Streaming platform a plus.
- A deep understanding of baseball rules and strategies both from an MLB and MiLB perspective.
- Have experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Audition, Illustrator).
- Have working knowledge of production equipment and the ability to conceive, create and execute multimedia projects.
- Ability to work effectively with production crews and other team members.
- Possess strong writing and verbal skills.
- Be willing to learn, work hard, handle multiple projects at once and maintain a good attitude.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 40 lbs, stand for entire length of shift, walk throughout stadium (if needed), may be required to work in confined/narrow spaces, ability to work in variable temperatures.
- This is a seasonal, part-time position. Days and hours will vary to include evening and weekend work according to team needs.
