Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the general supervision of the project director, the position of post-doctoral researcher will consist
of duties to include but are not limited to the following: mouse surgical techniques including TAC
and MI, tissue culture techniques, qPCR, ChIP, immunoblot, FACs analysis, and ELISA. The
ideal candidate should have basic molecular biological experience and experience working with
rodents. The candidate must successfully work with project director, staff and undergraduate students to
conduct research projects. Any and all other duties as assigned.
Experience:
Ability to maintain and safely operate laboratory equipment and tools.
Ability to communicate well with students, staff and administration.
Ability to carry out assigned tasks without supervision.
Ability to work with a diverse group of students and faculty/staff.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of performing experiments under sterile condition.
Ability and w -Grant Research programs.
Ability to present research work in house as well as in national conference.
Work Schedule:
Minimum 40 hours / week. Monday Friday with the possibility of evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 1-2 year experience in molecular biology lab
PhD in Biological Science

This is a full-time position funded by annual allocation by National Institute of Food and
Agriculture (NIFA) through the Evans Allen Program with matching contributions from the State
of Ohio.
