Premier manufacturing company with a focus on food products. They are looking for a Senior R&D and Product Development Coordinator to go onsite daily in Santa Fe Springs. Client Details Our client is a high quality creator of food products with an amazing facility and resources. Description Lead the research and development of new food products, from concept ideation to commercialization. Innovate by incorporating market trends, consumer insights, and sustainability considerations into product development. Formulate recipes, conduct bench trials, and oversee pilot plant testing. Coordinate and manage multiple product development projects to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, QA, Marketing, and Supply Chain, to bring concepts to market. Prepare project reports, track milestones, and provide regular updates to leadership teams. Continuously evaluate existing product lines for quality improvements, cost efficiencies, and scalability. Support the implementation of new technologies, ingredients, and processes that enhance product development. Conduct sensory evaluations, shelf-life studies, and analytical testing. Collect, analyze, and interpret data to ensure product quality, consistency, and performance. Ensure all products comply with food safety regulations (FDA, USDA, HACCP, etc.) and company policies. Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including specifications, formulations, and production procedures. Profile Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Culinary Arts, or related field. A Master's degree is a plus. 4 years of experience in R&D and product development, preferably in the food and beverage industry. Strong understanding of food processing, formulation, and regulatory requirements. Proven project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency with formulation software, lab testing methods, and sensory evaluation techniques. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Effective communication and leadership abilities to work collaboratively across teams. A passion for food innovation, trends, and product quality.
