Responsibilities: GENERAL PURPOSE: Design and operation of equipment in the laser facilities. The suite of equipment includes assorted styles and types of laser cavities and components. Schedule 8:30 AM-5:30 PM Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY: Seeking an experienced laser engineer to lead the design of a state-of-the-art optical parametric chirped pulse amplification (OPCPA) system for the NSF OPAL design project awarded to the University of Rochester at the Laboratory for Laser Energetics (UR/LLE). The project will design a new, world-leading, high-power laser user facility with two 25-PW lasers coupled to OMEGA EP to achieve and study extreme physical conditions.
