Chief Engineer Job Description
Overview
Chief engineers work in a wide range of fields and oversees the organization's entire engineering function, from approving project designs and assigning engineers and technicians and ensuring that all safety and structural standards are met throughout the end of project. Chief engineers' responsibilities include developing, planning and coordinating projects, managing policies, procedures, and controls that govern operations, and manage staffing and resource management. They also prepare budget, expenditure proposal, and reports such as statistical and data analysis reports, for all engineering processes.
