Customer Service Specialist Job Description
Overview
The Customer Service Specialist resolves customer queries by phone, email, chat or in person. Their role is to recommend solutions and guide product users through features and functionalities. Their responsibilities are responding to queries immediately with correct information, identifying customer problems, monitoring and responding to customer complaints on social media, updating internal company databases about useful discussions with customers and technical issues, informing customers about new features and functionalities, and following up with customers to ensure their queries have been solved.

I really really feel that customer service and member success is such a vital part of the backbone of companies and when those teams are successful you see entire companies thrive.
Responsibilities:
I support a team that is supporting our members which means I'm still getting to do like the member success thing but my members are my team so my goal is to ensure that my team is happy and feel supported so that they can turn around and make sure our members feel happy and supported
Perks of Customer Service:
One of the wonderful things about customer service is it really can be done anywhere. If you have a computer and you have internet connection you can support people and I really really love that flexibility not just for me but for my team.
Career Requirements:
Being amazing at customer service is absolutely paramount to being successful in this role and that's not enough. You have to really really be passionate about the people behind what you're doing whether those are customers or it's your team or it's folks within the rest of the organization.
Management Tip:
As the manager it's your job to match your managerial style to what they need and that may mean you manage in two, three, twelve, fifteen different managerial styles but that's going to help number one create the best work experience for your team and number two that's going to make everything just run a little bit smoother.
